Don't let its size or simplistic shape fool you; the Sphero Bolt is a very sophisticated robot. They are shock resistant and waterproof, allowing for a wide variety of STEAM challenges. While running a code, the robot sends data to Sphero EDU from it's sensors allowing students to analyze their programs on a whole new level. This Sphero robot can be programmed using drawing, blocks or text based code.

Coding Mat- Sphero sells two sided mats that come with three sets of 20 Challenge Cards. The first mat has a city on one side and golf course on the other. The second mat has space and soccer themes.
Washable paint- Because Sphero is waterproof, you can paint with him! It's also recommended to put him inside of a box, or construct some kind of barrier when painting to help keep things contained in one area.
Building materials- Having materials such as blocks, cardboard tubes, construction paper, etc allows students to create obstacle courses, mazes, or "sets" for Sphero to travel through.
Painters Tape- Painters tape can be used to design mazes, number lines, and grids on floors and tables without damaging the surfaces.
Plastic Cups- Large plastic cups will fit over Sphero allowing students to attach various costumes or writing instruments to the robot.
