The Sphero indi is a robot designed for primary classrooms. Students use colored tiles to create physical mazes and courses for indi to travel. The tiles are preprogrammed to tell indi what to do, but students can change the coding if desired using the optional Shero EDU Jr App.

Nearpod (Can also be found in the Nearpod District Library)
An indi robot
Colored tiles- included with indi; Sphero provides the color codes if teachers want to create additional tiles, but doesn't guarantee that indi will work with homemade tiles.
Chromebook- Students can download the Sphero EDU Jr App from Google Play (NOTE: indi does not work with the regular Sphero EDU app). This will give them control over what indi will do when it sees each color.
Building materials- indi can travel on the mat or on the floor. Having materials such as blocks, cardboard tubes, construction paper, etc allows students to create obstacle courses, mazes, or "sets" for the BeeBot to travel through.
Painters Tape- Painters tape can be used to design mazes, number lines, and grids on floors and tables without damaging the surfaces.
Grid- Create a reusable grid on butcher or bulletin board paper that indi's tiles fit within. This will help students to properly line up the tiles.
