Baby flamingos are very different than adult flamingos. They are white, with soft, downy feathers and a straight bill.  Baby flamingos are born white but slowly suck the color out of their parents. The crop milk is bright red because it contains chemicals that give the chick its pink color until it can feed itself. Baby flamingos drink bright crop milk. Baby flamingos are taken care of for 5-14 days since birth.
