What Im working on now:

concentration, landscape architecture, green design

About Me:

I remember attending art camp every summer when I was younger. During the camp we were able to take different classes throughout the day, I specifically remember taking a jewelry making class. There I learned how to solder and create pins, necklaces, earrings, and rings. I remember our final project was a silver ring. I remember melting the silver and wrapping it around in a coil, then creating a flower in the middle. I still wear the ring today and am always reminded of that camp. The various art camps, workshops, and classes I attended throughout my childhood allowed me to foster a deep love for art.

I hope to further develop my technical skills this year. Last year was a lot about discovery and experimentation, I found my niche when it comes to art. Although I still love patterns, color, embroidery, fabric, and all forms of printing I do want to experiment with other mediums. I also want to focus on more traditional techniques and become stronger in areas where I was previously weak in. My goal this year is to be more patient with my art and complete it over longer periods of time. I am used to just finishing a piece in a couple of hours in one sitting, I want to change that.
