MY STAR
The teacher is going to give you a star printed on different colours. Follow the instructions:
1. Write your name in the centre.
2. Think and write 5 words which represent something or someone important to you.
3. Take a picture of the star and upload it to your site.
4. Record a 2 minute podcast or a video explaining the words that you have chosen, why you chose them and giving further information about it.
5. Upload it to your site.
Tenses revision
Work in groups of 2-3. Choose one of the following tenses and topics. Prepare an explanation using what you remember and check information online. Prepare a game or an activity to practise it. Explain it to your classmates.

2. Locate the different items in the photo using:
In the foreground/ background you can see…./there is…
In the middle/centre there are / I can see….
At the top/At the bottom there is….

Behind/ In front of… you can see…
Between…there is….
3. What are they doing? Now you describe the people in the picture or you say what is happening now using the present continuous (am/is/are + verb-ing).
You can also use physical descriptions and describe the clothes they are wearing.
Depending on the picture you may speculate or try to deduce what has just happened, what happened before...
4. Personal opinion
You should finish by expressing your personal opinion.You can use the expressions below:
It seems as if….
The lady seems to…
They seem to / could / might be...

I like / don´t like the picture because….
The atmosphere is relaxing/ depressing
5. Choose one of your favourite pictures and describe it. Use the expressions above and structures revised in the starter unit. Don't forget to include adjectives, compartative and superlative forms and variety of tenses. Write about 160 words and organise the text into at least 3 paragraphs (introduction, description, opinion).
