Chapter1_applied calculus textbook.pdf — This is the first review chapter from the Applied Calculus book that we use in this course. We may discuss some of the examples (worked-out or not) in class. Sometimes, you may read/ understand the examples on your own, either individually or in small groups, then complete the practice exercises. Don't forget that we decided that some of the selected practice problem sets will be collected & graded, to replace the more traditional quizzes/ tests.
Chapter1_calculus-textbook.pdf — This is chapter 1 on finding limits. In Intro to Calculus, our focus is to find the limits graphically and numerically, and sometimes algebraically (if reasonable). We use the informal definition of limit (the left- side limit has to be the same as the right- side limit for that limit to exist), rather than the formal definition with "delta".
