This district has created the following website to help families with technology questions! https://sites.google.com/wrsd.net/techhelpcenter
Below are the directions to help students access their WRSD accounts.
For example: erickahumphrey32@wrsdk12.net & password (which is student ID number (found on PowerSchool).
GOOGLE ACCOUNTS:
- Student account names consist of the student’s first name and last name followed by his or her 2 digit year of graduation. All hyphens, periods, apostrophes, spaces, and suffixes have been removed. For example, a student named John St. James Jr. with a graduation year of 2028 would have a username of: johnstjames28@wrsdk12.net
- The password is the student's PowerSchool ID number, which is 9 digits long.
- First and last names were taken directly from PowerSchool so if there is any question about the exact spelling or form of a student's name, it can be easily checked by a teacher.
- Student Chromebooks will automatically add @wrsdk12.net in the login window to assist students. However, staff members may type their full email address to override the auto-filled portion.
SUMMARY:
Account name format is <First Name><Last Name><2-Digit Year of Graduation> with all hyphens, periods, apostrophes, spaces, and suffixes removed.
Google account names will look like this: johnsmith28@wrsdk12.net
The password is the student's ID number
WINDOWS ACCOUNTS:
Students needing to log into a Windows computer will simply use the same username as above but without the “@wrsdk.net” portion (ex. johnsmith28). Their passwords will be the same (student ID number).
NOTE: Windows account names cannot exceed 20 characters. Therefore, if a student’s username in the above format is longer than that, the student must only enter the first 20 characters. This ONLY applies to Windows logins. All students will use their full usernames when logging into Google.
The Clever dashboard is our universal landing spot for students.
All users log into Clever with their district Google credentials (username and password)
When students log into a District Chromebook with their Google accounts, they are automatically directed to their Clever portal
In Clever, students will see icons for all of their most commonly-used applications
Students and teachers can access many of these applications with one click as Clever will automatically log them in to each application
Clever also provides automatic class rostering for many applications
