The COA will host the annual Flu Shot Clinic at the Harper Center on Wednesday, October 3rd from 11:00 to 1:00.

Matter of Balance, an award winning program which teaches awareness of trip traps, balance enhancing exercises and other strategies for avoiding falls returns to Harper on Wednesday October 3rd. Classes will run from 9:00 to 11:00 every Wednesday for eight weeks and end on Wednesday November 15th. Interested individuals can register with the Harper Center at 458.8250 or contact Brett or Amanda, our instructors, at 663.7588. The fall session is limited to 15 participants so calling sooner rather than later is prudent.

Tai Chi in the park, a pilot to both encourage people to participate in balance enhancing Tai Chi and bring classes to an outside forum was successful. We'll repeat the outside Friday class again next summer!

Massachusetts AARP is offering a free community shredding event at the new MGRHS on Saturday October 6 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. You can bring up to 5 boxes of materials to be shredded, the shredder can handle staples, paper clips and binder clips too. No hard drives, metals, glasses or plastics please. They say that someones identity is stolen every two seconds. Shredding confidential, personal documents is a good way to protect yourselves. Bring your materials to the shredding event and it will be shredded for FREE...!
