Regional Shared Procurement Officer Application

Post date: Nov 07, 2017 4:31:24 PM

Hello Jason, Chris, Mike, Jennifer, Matt,

I’m forwarding an email I send out yesterday to other Berkshire County Managers / Administrators. I was aware from Nat, that your community had signed on to the Efficiency and Regionalization application for broadband. According to my read of the Efficiency and Regionalization application requirements, a community can only sign on to one regional application. I am pleased to announce that there is sufficient interest from other Berkshire County communities (7 at last count) for the Shared Procurement Officer idea that BRPC will be submitting that application as well. Your community is more than welcome to participate in this effort as it moves forward.

Please let me know if you are interested and I will keep you in the loop. I will, however, simply not list you on the Efficiency and Regionalization application.

Mike – I’ve already had a couple of questions about the Group Purchasing program. Please let me know when it might be convenient to talk.

Subject: Berkshire County Shared Procurement Officer - Efficiency and Regionalization Grant Application

Folks,

At a Berkshire County Town Managers / Administrators meeting I attended in Lenox in September, we briefly discussed the idea of a Shared Procurement Officer. If there is sufficient interest, I would like to submit an Efficiency and Regionalization Grant Application to pursue this further. I’ve attached a very rough draft of a proposed work program for the grant application.

Please let me know if your town would be interested in possibly participating in such a program – at this point a simple e-mail would suffice. If I hear from enough towns, I will prepare and submit an application. Applications are due Thursday November 16th. I need to hear from your community no later than Friday noon, November 10, 2017.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me for more information.

Tom
