Building

The structural steel for the bookstore has all been placed and work continues on pace for both that and the science project.

Ryan will be meeting this month with design teams for the CDE dormitory and for the Hotel project.

Tim Sears, former Local Inspector for the City of Pittsfield, and current part time Building Commissioner for the Town of Peru has been hired as Local Inspector for Williamstown.

Health

Jeff Kennedy has completed the annual re-certification of retail scales.

Jeff Kennedy has endured and managed to survive the semi-annual training held by the Massachusetts Weights and Measures Association.

Jeff Kennedy has been witnessing septic system inspections and soil evaluations.

Pine Cobble School is not operating a cafeteria for student and faculty lunches. Upgrades were made to bring the kitchen up to code while still retaining a lot of the Cluett Mansion Kitchen features. The kitchen has not been used since the early 1990s when the facility was the Highcroft School.

Land Use

The ZBA meets tonight to discuss the Phase 2 expansion of Cable Mills, Conservation hears the same project next Thursday.

Andrew continues working on the Open Space plan update with an ad hoc committee appointed by the Con Com and the Planning Board will receive an update on the Mass Housing Partnership project next Tuesday the 20th.
