project they can still hand it in. 1/17/19 was the last day of this project. Every day late is -5pts. Please

Quiz on Instrumentation (6th graders)
6th graders will have a quiz on instrumentation Thursday 10/8. Use the instrumentation tab above to review for the quiz. The review sheet is located on that tab at the bottom.

6th grade students will have a quiz Monday 10/19 on styles of music tab above. Be sure to listen to each style. Have a friend or family member play a video and give them two reasons why it is that style. The review sheet is below titled "styles 2015 handout". I also have a blank review sheet so that you can write two unique details about that genre.

As far as the listening goes students should click on the link below with tempos so that they can practice them. Students should click on the styles of music tab above and listen to the styles that are listed on their review sheet. Students should check out the instrumentation tab above and listen to the instruments that are listed on their review sheet.

Final Exam
The Final will be Monday June 1st and Tuesday June 2nd. Please make sure you memorize everything on the review sheet located below. It is titled "review sheet 2014-2015 filled out 7th grade". The other one for 6th grade is titled "review sheet 2014-2015 filled out 6th grade". I also provide you with the blank one so that you can see if you really know it. It is a good idea to fill out the blank one without using any study sheet and see how much you get right.
Listening section of the exam:
Please look at the review sheet and make sure you are familiar with the listening items. They are listed on the last page of the final review sheet. I have limited the listening to help focus your studying. Have someone test you using my website. Be sure to use the instrumentation tab and styles tab above.

Instrumentation Quiz
There will be a quiz this week Thursday 2/26 and Friday 2/27.
The review sheet is below titled "Families of instruments review sheet 2015". Be sure to memorize it. The other half of the exam is listening. To prepare for that part you need to click on the instrumentation tab above. You need to be able to identify the 27 instruments that are on the review sheet. Feel free to download the "Instrument prep sheet" to help you prepare. I will also play some songs where you have to figure out multiple instruments. You can find those videos under the instrumentation tab as well. Scroll down to the section labeled "multiple instruments on quiz...". Remember, I have given you what instruments will be on the exam and which songs I may choose. All you have to do is listen and prepare. Feel free to check out the quizzes at the top of that tab.

You need to research 4 careers in music. Two randomly chosen and two of your own. Use full sentences when answering the question. Type your career in the search box on the website and pick the one that matches your title. When you are done with that career press the back button to get back to the search box.
Feel free to complete the assignment from home. I have added the form to fill out below. The file is titled "Jobs in music industry form". Press the arrow to download the file and print it out. It must be hand written. You can also do more for extra credit.
FORM Quiz
