This is Mrs. Campo's 22nd year in education and 18th working in school libraries. She is the director and advisor of the McCormick Drama Club and WHS Drama Club/Community Theater. In her spare time, Mrs. Campo likes to read, run, do home improvement projects, spend time with her family, and travel. Her favorite authors are Alan Gratz, Tamora Pierce, Roald Dahl, and Shel Silverstein.
Students in all grades can check out two books and keep them up to three weeks. All returned materials will be cleaned before they are returned to circulation.
*Students come to library for class once every week.
**Students will visit individually or in pairs during language arts classes.
Fiction books marked with a "red dot" (young adult content) are reserved only for junior high students or those who have given me a parent permission note to read them.
Students with overdue library books cannot check out another item until all overdue materials are returned. Families may receive an auto-generated email reminding that their student has an overdue book.
There are no overdue fines, but if the book is permanently lost or damaged, the student will be charged for the replacement copy.
Overdue fines roll over from one school year to the next, so students with 3rd grade fines at Westwood will continue to have those fines at McCormick until they are cleared. The same goes for McCormick students heading to the high school.
Library books are for everyone! They're meant to be read, looked at, admired, and shared- it's up to you to make sure they last a long time for everyone to enjoy!
Wash your hands before and after handling your book.
Keep your books in a safe spot away from younger siblings and pets.
Do not eat, drink, or take a bath with your book!
A book that doesn't work for you might be fantastic for someone else- respect each other's right to read!
Use the health station near the library entrance for tissues, hand sanitizer, etc.
Follow and read all health notices and signage in the library.
Search our library by title, author, subject, or fiction, non-fiction, and more!
