Open Circle
Open Circle is a social and emotional learning program that supports elementary school children in developing the skills needed to be good learners and form healthy, positive relationships with people throughout their lives. The class meets weekly in a circle for about 15 minutes. The goals of the lessons are to create a cooperative classroom environment and give children the skills they need to solve problems and build positive relationships.
Social Thinking
The Social Thinking program is designed to help students to understand the emotional connection between their behavior and associated consequences. The goal has been to teach children to be social thinkers and learn that there is a connection between behavior and thought. The class meets each week for 30 minutes with our speech/language pathologist and school psychologist who provide Social Thinking lessons.
