Wellesley uses TERC investigations as our core mathematics curriculum. It is designed to engage all students in making sense of important mathematical concepts. With this curriculum, students develop conceptual understanding and procedural proficiency in five content areas: number & operation, geometry, measurement, data, and algebra. The development of whole number computation skills and automaticity with basic facts is a critical part of the elementary math program. In addition to Investigations, teachers use a variety of other curriculum resources to provide more practice, to extend lessons, to include additional problem solving and to alignInvestigations with the MA Curriculum Framework for Mathematics (2011)/CCSS for Math
