Homework Policy:
Missed work:
If a student misses school, they are responsible for making up any work they have missed and getting any missed notes. Refer to the handbook for amount of time allowed. I will not remind students about making up work. It is their responsibility to get this done. IT IS ALSO THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO GET ANY NOTES/SKETCHBOOK ASSIGNMENTS THAT WERE MISSED, SINCE I WILL BE TAKING A SKETCHBOOK GRADE.
Grading:
Percentages are set up by the school district for the weight of daily assignments and testing. Daily assignments include: bellringer or warm-up sketches, periodic sketchbook checks, homework checks when applicable, and handouts. Students are expected to show all work (for example – all sketches, any written notes, etc. that pertain to the assignment) on the homework assignments and projects. (NO WORK = NO CREDIT). Tests will not be given every week, although we will have written tests based on the notes taken regarding Art History. There will also be a major sketchbook grade at the end of each 9-weeks. Students will need to keep up with all notes and assignments throughout the 9-weeks.
