About me:

My name is Mary Beth Langevin, school counselor at  East Montpelier Elementary.  Working with children for over thirty years I supported students as an elementary educator, school counselor, and day care provider.  Much of my experience has been learning about and directly serving children from birth to 12 years old. Currently I hold a B.S. and M.Ed. in education as well as a Masters in Counseling. Most of my life I lived in rural and suburban areas of Vermont.  Having lived and worked in schools as small as 30 students and as large as 350 students, I appreciate the community dynamics and the individuals that build the community.  Drawn by Vermont's beauty, I enjoy hiking, swimming and connecting with nature.  Currently I live in South Burlington, Vermont, with my husband.  Together we raised three wonderful daughters.  We taught them as well as learned much about life from them.  Children teach us so much.  It's important to slow down and listen to what they are saying with their words and through their actions.
