E.Vaughn - Tech Integration

This site will give information and show examples of using technology in interesting ways to integrate technology into the school curriculum. Some examples are: using Scratch, the Makey Makey with Scratch, Book Creator, WeVideo, designing and making brushbots, and using StoryBoardThat to create graphic novels. I also like to introduce website making using google sites - like this one. We code with WeDo Lego kits, the Micro:Bit, GiggleBots, Finches, and Spheros. The Bare Conductive Touch Board is a new and exciting device that students are beginning to learn. We have a small 3D printer and Cricut machines. Building challenges with cardboard are also part of our curriculum.

Here I am getting my photo taken with Scratch the cat at MIT. Computer coding using the Scratch application is fun and easy. These are paper look-alikes of the Scratch sprites.

The Makey Makey Session was presented at Vermont Fest 2016.

I have presented at both Vermont Fest in Killington, and Dynamic Landscapes in Burlington. In the spring of 2022, I will present again with a colleague in Burlington.
