Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS)Â
As was mentioned briefly during our kickoff meeting, WCPSS will be implementing the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System, which is a statewide student anonymous safety tip application. As a part of this free online app, students can report secure and anonymous safety concerns to help at-risk individuals before they hurt themselves or others. In preparation for launching, we are required to complete training with students.
Training should take place on Wednesday, July 24 for Tracks 1 & 3 and on Wednesday, July 31 for Track 4. As a part of this training, homeroom teachers will be expected to show students a 26-minute video and complete an associated activity connected to the content of the video. We have been told to allot approximately 40 minutes to complete this, so please be mindful of that as it'll be key to get started right after announcements on these dates.
This link provides you with access to the video and student activity you will need to use with students. If you'd like to preview the video and activity before showing it to students, please use this Core Training Preview link (do not use the official link until you are showing it to students as you will have to identify how many students are present to view the video)
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Longo, Mr. Martin, Dr. Sulzbach, or myself.
