Cat Came Back - Em

E- D C B

Old Mrs. Johnson had troubles of her own

She had a yellow cat that wouldn’t leave her home

She tried and she tried to give the cat away

She gave it to a man going far far away…BUT

Chorus:

The cat came back the very next day

The cat came back, they thought she was a goner

But the cat came back, it just wouldn’t stay away

She gave it to a man going up in a balloon

Told him for to take it to the man up in the moon

The balloon came down ‘bout eighty miles away

But where the man is now, well, I really couldn’t say…BUT

She gave it to a man going way out west

Told him for to take it to the one that he loves best

First the train hit a curve, then in jumped the rail

Not a soul was left behind to tell the gruesome tale…BUT

She brought it to the Waynflete School to get it out from under

They hung it on the roof  exposed to lightening and thunder

A storm brewed up, the roof blew off, it got extremely cold

At last the building flew away, now there’s nothing left but a hole…BUT
