Why go to college?
Statistics support that the more education you have, the better job you can get. You can earn a special certificate, an Associates Degree with two years of college, or a Bachelors Degree with 4-5 years of college. Some jobs may even require a Masters Degree or Doctoral Degree in addition to a Bachelors Degree.
This interesting graphic shows the differences in lifetime earnings of individuals with various degrees.
While money isn't everything, there is certainly a correlation between how much education a person receives and their annual income. We recognize that a four-year college might not be right for everyone but we do encourage all students to continue on to some type of educational institution after they finish high school. The more education and training you obtain, the more employable you are.
We encourage all students to come down to the guidance office to discuss their options! Counselors are happy to help!
