Clay 1

This is an introductory ceramics course.  Clay 1 focuses on hand building techniques and learning how to transfer ideas in your head into 3 dimensional work.  

Students will demonstrate an understanding of pinch, coil, and slab techniques, as well as the proper methods of attaching pieces together, while developing their understanding of the creative process.
