Travel  

Davis is on Interstate 80, about 12 miles west of Sacramento, 75 miles east of San Francisco, and 65 miles east of Berkeley. 

By airplane:

The closest airport is Sacramento (SMF) which is 30 minutes by car from the Davis campus.  

Davis Airporter is a shuttle service connecting Davis with Sacramento (SMF) and San Francisco (SFO) international airports.

By train:

Davis has an Amtrak station connected to Bay Area (Berkeley, Oakland, San Jose) and to Sacramento via Capitol Corridor. There are (much less frequent) long-distance trains such as California Zephyr or Coast Starlight: Amtrak.

By car:

About WAGS:

WAGS is a twice-yearly meeting of algebraic geometers in the Western half of North America that traces its origins back to the Utah-UCLA Algebraic Geometry Seminar started in 1989.
