"I believe in the power of music as a universal expression for thoughts and feelings which can't be expressed by words. Music is a lifelong activity, and the musical experiences shared will stay with a person for the rest of their lives. I strive to educate young musicians of the broader world through experiences with music of a wide variety of styles, genres and cultures. I believe in music as an important part of education so students can move through these crucial years of self-discovery by experiencing beauty, connection, disruption, and discomfort in a safe space."
