AUTO 3

3 CREDITS   (2 PERIODS)*    (JUNIOR - SENIOR)

(PREREQUISITE AUTO 2)

* Credits include 1 credit Auto 3, 1 credit Applied Science, 1 Credit applied Math.  This course is for the student who is serious about a job in the auto industry.  The subjects studied alternate every other year with Auto 4 and cover the systems of the automobile.  The skills learned in Auto 1 and Auto 2 are put to use in as close to a live shop setting as possible.  Students are earning their grade just as Auto Technicians earn their pay.  There is lots of time for live hands-on experience.  Students must schedule and plan their work.  Approximately 25% of the time will be spent in the classroom and 75%  spent in the shop. The student MUST plan ahead on shop work. Auto 3 and Auto 4 students are working together in the same class.

This course is for the student who is serious about a job in the auto industry.  The subjects studied alternate every other year with Auto 3 and cover the systems of the automobile.  This course is a continuation of Auto 3.
