Animation Start Here
Class Disclosure
I am excited to get to know you and to get started with this semester! This is an awesome class and is a great way to get a basic introduction to Animation and the program Blender. Here are the most important things you need to know to get started in this course.
1. In the first unit of the class you are asked to download a 7-zip program that you need in order to download and extract a zip file that contains the class resources (which includes the program Blender and files that you need to complete your projects).
Many have already reported to me that when they select the link to download 7-zip it takes them to a website that crashed before it makes any kind of download. ***THIS IS WHY: In most cases, this means that your computer already contains a program to download and extract zip files, so you are good to go. If you are running a computer operating system like Windows XP or Vista you will need this download but newer operating systems you should be good to go.
2. As I said before Animation is a great class, the hardest part is getting started and downloading the course resources. Are you a virtual student (enrolled and taking classes in school but taking Animation from home?) If you are using your computer at home you will need to download class resources and the program Blender to your computer. FOr Animation Semester 1 :CLICK HERE for the resources. For Animation Semester 2 CLICK HERE for the Resources. Copy them to a folder on your computer. And CLICK HERE to download the Blender program (select the one that says:
Make sure you download version 2.62 that is what the class is based off of.
If you are a Part Time In-District student the software Blender should be on your school’s computer in the lab you take your class. If it is not PLEASE CONTACT ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
3. I have attached a link to a short Class Disclosure with information that pertains just to this class. For the most part it contains some helpful tips for success in your course.
THIS IS AN ASSIGNMENT. Please open the Disclosure by Clicking HERE. You will be asked to fill out your name at the bottom to verify that you have read the information and understand its contents.
