BCC Dual Credit
High school students have the opportunity to take college classes through Butler Community College for dual credit. Several are offered at CHS and can be part of your class schedule. Others are taken on campus or on-line though BCC. NOTE: Classes taken at BCC for dual credit may not be dropped after the 3rd week of class attendance without effecting the students transcript. Classes dropped AFTER this date will receive a WF (Withdraw/Fail) on their transcripts which also weighs into their HS GPA as a standard F letter grade.
Enrollment Requirements:
1. Freshman & Sophomore - GPA of 3.25 or qualifying Accuplacer/ACT score.
2. Junior & Senior - GPA of 3.00 or qualifying Accuplacer/ACT score.
(EXCLUSION: College Algebra requires a GPA: 3.70 & A's in both Semesters of Algebra 2 or qualifying Accuplacer/ACT scores)
Qualifying Test Requirement Scores:
ACT - English: 18+ Reading: 15+ Math: 21+
(EXCLUSION: CNA class Requirements - Writing 15+ Reading 15+)
Accuplacer - Sentence Skills 69+ Reading 69+ College Algebra 87+
(EXCLUSION: CNA class Requirements - Sentence Skills 40+ Reading 60+)
Accuplacer Next Generation - Writing Placement 255+ Reading Placement 255+ College Algebra 263+
(EXCLUSION: CNA class Requirements - Writing 237+ Reading 250+)
