The WFMS track teams had a successful home meet, with both the 7th and 8th grade girls winning their divisions, the 7th grade boys finishing second, and the 8th grade boys finishing 7th. WFMS Invitational Track Results - April 30, 2024
The WFMS track team enjoyed much nicer weather on Friday at Osage City, setting 25 PR's. 8th grader Zoe Dowd continued her Shot Put success, winning the event and setting a new meet record with a throw of 39-4. The 8th grade 4 x 100 girls team of Naomi, Heaven, Skyla, and Zoe remain unbeaten for the season with a PR of 57.0, and 8th grader Baylie Wieneke again won the 1600 with a time of 6:22.83. The WFMS track team competed in the Lyndon Invitational Tuesday, 4/16. Despite the windy conditions, the team had several outstanding performances and PRs. WFMS Track Results from 4/16
4/9/2024 -The WFMS track teams traveled to Chase Co. on Tuesday, April 9. Despite a competitive meet with 10 teams, the 8th grade girls won their 2nd consecutive track meet with 102 points, edging out Manhattan-Luckey by just 1 point. The 7th grade girls had a strong meet, placing 2nd with 93 points, while the 7th grade boys finished 5th and the 8th grade boys finished 8th. 8th grader Zoe Dowd broke her own Shot Put record again with a big distance of 39' 5 1/2".
4/4/2024 - The WFMS track teams started their season with strong performances at the Santa Fe Trail meet on Thursday, April 4.
The 7th Grade Girls, 8th Grade Girls, and 7th Grade Boys all won their divisions while the 8th grade boys placed 4th.
8th grader Zoe Dowd broke her school record in the Shot Put with a throw of 38-10.
