A senior academic and a passionate researcher, with a distinguished career spanning over (35) years, serving at major hospitals and universities in Iraq. Dedicated to my career, to the field of histopathology, and amongst my many accolades, was responsible for the introduction of Ag Nor-Nucleolar organizer region for the first time into Iraq in late eighties.
After a highly accomplished research invitation with AKH, Vienna in 2001, successfully completed a special breast cancer project, utilizing FISH and IHC procedures in demonstrating the over-expression of Her2/neu. This placed me as a leading medical researcher in Iraq utilizing this technique.
Since moving to the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq, became intrigued with the high and unexplained incidence of colorectal cancer and breast cancer among young age groups. My research was immediately focused on these two lethal pathologies. Currently, interested in working on the putative role of Chitinase biomarkers in tumorigenesis of breast cancer.
Continue to demonstrate exceptional research initiatives and commitment to research output.
