Resources for Students

Student Assistance Program

The Student Assistance Program was created in 2011 by the Unity Student Assistance Team. The Student Assistance Program is an opportunity for students that are failing two or more classes to receive extra instruction, get help on their homework or learn new study habits. Each week a failing list is created and students that are failing two or more classes are invited by their counselor to attend the program. Parents are also notified of their student's invitation to the Student Assistance Program.

The Student Assistance Program meets Mondays and Wednesdays after school (3:05-3:45) and Tuesday and Thursdays before school (7:50-8:10). All sessions will take place in Mr. Fink's room (15). Students are required to attend at least two sessions per week.

Students that choose not to attend the Student Assistance Program and continue to fail two or more classes will be placed on Social Probation. Social Probation is defined as "all participation in or attendance at activities, dances, athletic events, clubs, or organizations (home or away), will be forfeited for a period of time as determined by the administration."
