Economics and policy of local development

Local Development Economics - The aim is understanding concepts, strategies and elements of the local development by reviewing and analyzing theories and models which the local development policies and organization and management tools are based on. The themes related to the territorial dimension of development, the approach to local government, and the design methodologies will be analyzed in order to investigate territorial strategic competitiveness.

Local Development Policy in the EU - The aim is to analyse the policies for local development, programmatic tools and incentives for businesses and territories, specifically for agri-food businesses and rural areas. For this reason, after analyzing the socio-institutional context that determines these policies, the programs and the various levers will be examined in order to examine the local systems development issues.
