Thaxanos exists in a permanent state of war with Darkonin and Shalonesti.
The treacherous elves of the Shalonost mounted their failed attack on our mountain some years ago, killing warriors and their wives and children, and any other Dwarf they crossed paths with. Their battering rams and pet dragons managed to breech our gates before we drove them back.
