Continuous Enrollment

Continuous Enrollment Policy

Students are required to enroll every semester (fall and spring) from the time of matriculation until degree conferral except for cases with an approved Leave of Absence (LOA) on the student’s record or use of GRAD 999.

Students who aren't registered during fall or spring semester and don't utilize a LOA or GRAD 999 will be discontinued. To be reactivated, students will need to apply for readmission and pay a $75 readmission fee.

Please note that the Continuous Enrollment policy applies only to fall and spring semesters. It does not apply to summer terms. If you plan to graduate in summer, this message does not apply to you.

To receive your degree, you must have an active student status in the term in which you plan to graduate.

GRAD 999 and Leave of Absence

  • Register for GRAD 999, which is a no-credit, no-tuition option to keep your status active. You can only use it twice. Only use this option if you will return to complete your M.Ed. in a year or less.

  • If you aren't planning to finish your M.Ed. within a year, then submit a formal leave of absence request.
