Gene Release/Use Strategy

To maximize the effectiveness of rust resistance genes there needs to be a coordinated effort in gene deployment. The team will first characterize the genes that are currently being used. As new lines are developed they will include only resistance genes that will maximize effective usefulness and longevity.
