The CCC board began its work over the summer—collaborating with CBCC and key consulting recruiters—to craft a comprehensive semester plan. We prioritized helping students improve networking and casing skills, setting the tone for a successful year ahead. Leading the charge were Cathal Moroney (President), Abby Pearson (VP of Networking), Brooks Ballentine (VP of External Outreach), and Garrison Kiefer (VP of Learning).
The semester started with a bang, offering events to prepare students for consulting success. Highlights included corporate reception prep, a RocketBlocks overview, networking 1:1 sessions, and a second-year internship panel. These efforts culminated in our first-ever Case Interview Bootcamp: an all-day session in partnership with the CBCC. Over 50 MBA students from various programs came together for skill-building and expert insights, with a special morning session led by Siddharth Chandramouli, PhD.
Carlson Consulting Connections brought together 12 consultants from firms like McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, and several boutique firms such as West Monroe, Chartis, and Pioneer. In partnership with the Graduate Women in Business (GWIB) club, this event provided invaluable career insights to both full- and part-time MBA students, fostering connections across the Twin Cities consulting community.
This fall, we added five first-year students to the CCC board. Their efforts have been instrumental in promoting and organizing events, enhancing our impact across campus!

Consulting firms were active on and off campus, with opportunities to network and recruit with Deloitte, BCG, McKinsey, and others. Here are some event highlights:
Deloitte consultants shared insider tips on navigating the nuances of their case interview process, helping students build confidence ahead of January interviews.
A hands-on workshop guided by BCG consultants, focusing on structured problem-solving and frameworks to excel in their interviews.
A lively off-campus event hosted by Deloitte at King Coil Spirits, blending networking with a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
Our friends of CCC have been pivotal in supporting second-year board members casing with first years. Since October, we’ve completed over 70 cases across 30 unique students—a remarkable testament to collaboration and effort!

The CCC-sponsored TAPS gave students a chance to take a break from the rigorous demands of semester one. Tropical shirts, temporary tattoos, and a laid-back vibe helped everyone recharge before diving back into the grind!
