Now, enough of the sappiness—let’s dive into the exciting final events of the year!
Mock interview marathon | Wednesday, December 11
CBCC is hosting a Mock Interview Marathon—a must-attend event where you'll be paired with an alum to simulate a real interview. This is your chance to refine your "Tell Me About Yourself" (TMAY) responses, perfect your STAR stories, and sharpen your closing strategies. The Mock Interview Marathon will take place on Wednesday, December 11, with a signup period running until next Tuesday, December 10 at noon. The event features 1-hour timeslots with alumni interviewers. Second-year board members have vouched for this activity as a crucial step in their preparation. Don’t miss it!
Behavioral interview workshop | Thursday, December 12
CCC's in-person workshop is designed to help first-year students excel in behavioral interviews—essential for consulting roles but applicable across industries. Expect a deep dive into why behavioral interviews matter, types of questions to anticipate, and strategies to navigate firm and industry-specific nuances. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, December 12 and lunch will be provided for registered attendees. Location details will be shared closer to the date.
If you haven’t received the invite or are facing issues attending, please contact CCC
Consulting mock interviews | Wednesday, December 18
CCC is hosting its first-ever full-day mock interview simulation to prepare students for January consulting internship interviews. This event mirrors the real interview process—including timing, format, medium, and difficulty—to give participants a realistic and invaluable prep experience. Mock interviews will take place on Wednesday, December 18. This event is open only to students who have completed CCC’s application and interview invite form
Invitations will be shared by EOW

Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy Summer Associate application closes tonight, December 5th, at 11:59 PM. Make sure to apply via Handshake and the Deloitte Career page portal.
Students requiring international visa sponsorship post-graduation are unfortunately not eligible for this role. This includes those planning to use CPT/OPT. For more details, refer to the job requisition.

Casing office hours | Complete survey by Wednesday, November 27!

Keep your case logs stuffed with updates so your case givers know what you’ve covered

Hello... is it CCC you're looking for?
Now that you've honed your casing skills at our bootcamp and networked like a pro at Carlson Consulting Connections, you're ready for the latest edition of the 80/20 Brief! From boosting your consulting expertise to finding new ways to engage with the CCC board, there’s a lot happening. And don’t forget our website, board members, and inbox are always available to support you with recruitment, consulting, or navigating your first semester!
CCC LinkedIn Page Launch
We are excited to announce the launch of our CCC LinkedIn page! With so many events happening and such great engagement from students, faculty, and the Twin Cities consulting community, it’s the perfect way to stay connected. Follow us for updates and recaps from our events!
Coffee for Consultants | Throughout October and November
As case interviews get closer, we’re launching "Coffee for Consultants," happening every two weeks in October and November. And we want your input to shape these sessions! Would you prefer to submit questions in advance for group discussion, or would an open-house format where you can drop in for 1:1 advice work better for you? Either way, coffee and light snacks will be provided!
Fill out this form to share your preference
Casing Office Hours
Starting the week of October 7, CCC will offer second-year-led office hours to help with consulting interview prep. Use this survey to indicate your interest in attending a session. These office hours are in-person and meant to complement your ongoing prep. Keep in mind, due to limited availability, you'll have access to a second-year for casing once every two weeks. Let’s follow our theme of “respect” to ensure the best experience for everyone.
CCC New RocketBlocks Feature!
RocketBlocks has launched a new personalized interview prep plan designed to guide you from the start of your journey through to interview day. This tool offers step-by-step plans tailored to your skills, timeline, and target firms. While it may not align perfectly with some feedback you've received, it could still be a helpful resource to structure your preparation. Check it out and see how it fits with your current study routine. You can find the plan feature on your consulting dashboard
Networking Reminder
With all the work you're putting into casing, don’t forget that networking is just as important. We’ve organized numerous opportunities for you to meet with consultants at top firms—and there are many more coming this semester. Make the most of these interactions, as networking could be the key to securing that critical interview!
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions you have. We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming events!
