The Kaplan Prize is an effort of the retrovirology community and was funded by individual contributions, including donations from the following people. With our initial fundraising drive, we raised enough funds to continue the prize in perpetuity. But what with inflation over the passage of time and the awarding of the prize for 16 years now, we would like to raise another $10,000-12,000 to make the prize a bit more generous and for full sustainability of the fund.
