Researching Adrenal Physiology and Disease
The Rainey Laboratory is located in the Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our research focuses on adrenal gland steroid hormone production. Our work takes a "bench-to-patient-bedside" approach to defining the role of the adrenal gland in normal physiology and endocrine diseases.
Our team consists of post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, undergraduate students, and technicians with a variety of scientific interests and international backgrounds. The lab provides a stimulating and enriching environment for conducting research directed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of human disease.
The University of Michigan Adrenal Research Group includes six independent NIH funded laboratories that provide support to study all aspects of adrenal physiology and disease. In addition, our research team has an extensive network of national and international collaborators that share our goal of treating or curing adrenal and ovarian diseases.
