Welcome!

I am an Assistant Research Scientist within the laboratory of Dr. Huda Akil and Dr. Stan Watson at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute at the University of Michigan. I am a neuroscientist by training (Ph.D.: University of Michigan, 2010), with a special interest in psychiatric disorder, mood regulation, circadian biology, sleep, and neuroendocrinology. My current research uses bioinformatics methods to examine the neurobiology of mood disorders and schizophrenia. My daily work often involves using statistical programming to navigate large genomics datasets derived from neural tissue to identify potential risk factors for psychiatric illness. As a professional analyst, I also work with a variety of other projects, specializing in confounded or complex experimental designs.

I created this page to share research and teaching materials.
