I am a Bachelor's degree recipient currently working in the Martin lab to help sort out pathogens obtained from various hospital locations globally for the OVERCOME project. I will also be working as a research assistant with the MFIVE study, obtaining samples from individuals who potentially have the flu to deduce the strain of Influenza virus that is currently prevalent, as well as looking at the efficiency of the flu vaccine in order to help create potential improvements and modifications in the Public Health policies around the flu virus to better combat the infectious disease.
