Associated Events October 2018

The following events take place before the main event on Friday and are by invitation only with the exception of Journal Club. These events are fun and really foster connections among those involved so please take advantage if you receive an invitation.

JOURNAL CLUB (open to university personnel)

Journal Club is an opportunity for all interested students, faculty, and staff to discuss papers suggested by the guest speakers prior to the symposium.

To sign up for the journal club emails search for "Journal Club-MicroEcoWs" on MCommunity and click "Join Group" or email Anna Cronenwett (weaverd@umich.edu).

​THURSDAY (invitation only)

9-12pm One-on-one meetings for each speaker with University of Michigan personnel (30 minutes each). Simultaneously, small groups of students will meet with alumni (60 minutes each).

12-1:30pm Student lunch with guest speakers (3610 SPH Tower). Lunch for Alumni & Students (1680 SPHI)

Afternoon Various activities and free time

7-9pm Dinner in Honor of Mark Wilson (hosted by Joe Eisenberg). (1680 SPHI)

FRIDAY

9-11:30am Workshop (1655 SPHI) (invitation only)
