Nutrition Rotation Team Lead
Management of patients with complex nutritional needs, including the development of complete nutritional assessment and plan (including parenteral nutrition).
On this rotation, the resident will gain experience in the management of patients, with particular emphasis on nutrition. The rotation is based primarily at RAH, with some activities at UAH.
The resident will be responsible for seeing new consultations directed to the nutrition/TPN program, and following these patients during the rotation. They will also participate in nutrition related rounds and ambulatory clinics as outlined in the schedule below. The resident will undertake a self-directed learning project related to nutrition while on the rotation. There will also be opportunities to participate in the Malnutrition Clinic. While there may be opportunity to participate in the endoscopy lists of the Nutrition faculty, endoscopy is not a core component of this rotation.
There are no call requirements for this rotation.
C5AP – Providing complete nutritional assessment and plans for patients with complex nutritional needs
C2AP – providing ongoing management for patients with stable, chronic, and/or complex conditions
Post-bariatric surgery
Cystic fibrosis
Chronic pancreatobiliary disease
C3AP – Managing patients with exacerbations, disease progression, and/or complications of chronic GI conditions
