Electives
As part of the two year Gastroenterology residency training program, residents will have an opportunity to complete electives. These electives are generally done in two week increments.
Trainees can complete either an In-Town Elective or an Outgoing Elective.

Out of Town Electives
Residents and fellows registered in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry are eligible to complete an elective at another university.
In addition to the PGME Out-Going Elective Registration form, you will require a letter of support from your program. This letter will be provided by your program coordinator.
Here are the steps for arranging an out of town elective:
Discuss the details of the elective with your program director to confirm the elective meets the eligibilty requirements
Contact the preceptor or program co-ordinator at your desired location to confirm that they are able to accomdate your request
Complete the Out-Going Elective Registration form (PGME)
once completed, email the form to the GI Residency program coordinator
