This page lists ongoing UAH STEM Outreach activities for K-12 students. STEM Help does not run these programs, but provides this list to help educators, parents, and students find out about and access STEM opportunities through the University.   

Girl's Science & Engineering Day

Girls Science and Engineering Day is for girls in the 3rd - 5th grades. The girls attend four, 40 minute hands-on workshops on a variety of topics from biology and living things, to space and rockets, doctors and nurses, stars and planets, mathematics, physics, experiments, robots and more.

Madison County Drinking Water Festival

Fourth grade students and their families learn about how groundwater and surface water, as well as other associated natural resources (i.e. wetlands, forestry, wildlife, etc.), relate to drinking water and to instill in them a general environmental awareness and stewardship ethic. Students and teachers participate in hands-on activities.

Rocket City WeatherFest

Local Huntsville student and professional chapters of the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association will host this FREE Weather Festival that is great for weather enthusiasts of all ages! Come sit in real storm chasing and weather research vehicles, attend Severe Weather 101, check out storm shelters, and participate in hands-on demonstrations and kids’ crafts.
