Gonzalo Robledo Veloso

Prior I held postdoctoral positions at Université Catholique de Louvain under the supervision of Prof. Georges Bastin and at Technion  Israel Institute of Technology with Prof. Leonid Mirkin. I got my PhD in Sciences from Université de Nice - Sophia Antipolis in 2006, advised by Prof. Jean Luc Gouzé.  

Research Interests

• Non autonomous Dynamical Systems:  with Alvaro Castañeda,  we have been working in the study of the property of dichotomy for linear non autonomous systems, we have obtained some results about  topological conjugacy and  the spectra associated to the dichotomy.

• Mathematical Biology: I'm studying problems arising from theoretical ecology (metapopulations, total effects in trophic networks) and bioprocesses which are described by nonautonomous  differential and difference equations. In this context, I have been collaborating with Daniel Sepúlveda, Pablo Amster and Rodrigo Ramos Jiliberto.

• Linear Control Theory: with Ignacio Huerta and Pablo Monzón we started to study the controllability properties for linear non autonomous systems beyond de classical Kalman's properties

• My Ph.D thesis (see also here) was devoted to the mathematical modeling of the competitive exclusion in a special type of bioreactor (the chemostat) and the introduction of feedback control laws in order to avoid the exclusion and promote the coexistence of two species. I worked under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Luc Gouzé  (see also here).
