As the cornerstone of the band program, the concert band has demonstrated consistent success at performances throughout the area and at OMEA sanctioned Large Group Adjudicated Events. The band performed at the 2019 OMEA Professional Development Conference. Students also have the opportunity to participate in solo and ensemble, a variety of honor bands, and other community events.
The most visible ensemble on campus, the "Tusky Valley High School Marching Swing Band" performs at all home and away varsity football games, a number of area band shows, and local parades and festivals. As ambassadors of the school district, they are renowned for their precision and attention to detail, and are well supported by the school community.
The high school jazz band is a voluntary extracurricular ensemble which meets once a week after school. The group performs at the spring and winter concerts and at various events around the community.
The pep band is a volunteer ensemble that performs at varsity boys and girls basketball games, as well as other select sporting events throughout the year. Students who attend at least three games earn a locker magnet and a certificate at the end of year awards banquet.
