World History

Understanding our lives and our stories requires careful study of the past and our assumptions about it. This year we will be exploring the ideas, events, people, and cultures of the last 700 years that have and are still shaping our lives. The history of the world’s major culture areas will be studied in depth from Renaissance to the present. Physical and cultural geography will be integrated into the history curriculum. We will become able historians, social studies, and citizen scholars and empower each other to shape our present into the best society it can be.
