Sports and Coaching

I have always been an athlete and believe that student athletes have an advantage in life. Not only do they care for their bodies and keep themselves in shape; but athletics also helps develop your mind, time management skills, social skills, and so much more. I have participated in a range of sports: cross country, track and field, volleyball, beach volleyball, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and sailing. However, my two passions have always been gymnastics and soccer. I was a competitive gymnast and trained very hard. This sport taught me discipline which has carried on throughout my life. Finding myself in the land of soccer, Italy, I discovered my second passion. I was in the European Olympic Development Program and also played on my high school soccer team. I continued my athletic career at Baker University as a varsity soccer player. Today I am an avid runner, fearless soccer player, focused volleyball player, die-hard snowboarder.

In addition to being an athlete, I am a certified soccer coach and coached with a club team for a few years. At French I have coached girls basketball, girls volleyball, track & field, boys soccer, and girls soccer. I take great pride in athletics and look forward to another amazing year with these young athletes.
