Utilization of Solar energy

Solar energy has been utilized for replacing conventional power through on-grid and off-grid solar PV systems and solar street lights. Solar concentrators and solar water heaters are being utilized to replace LPG for cooking and hot water generation.

Solar Power

In total, 28.35 kW of solar PV system has been installed in the University campus. With the installed capacity, approximately 34000 units electricity is being saved per year.

1. 7 kW Solar PV roof top system (Grid connected)

2. 4 kW Solar PV roof top system (Grid connected)

3. 0.5 kW Solar PV roof top system with PV tutor (Grid Connected)

Off-grid

1. Tunnel dryer coupled with 0.6 kW Solar PV backup

2. 1 kW Solar PV system for water pumping

3. 0.25 kW Solar PV roof top system for solar generator

4. 0.25 kW Solar PV roof top system for solar refrigeration
