Grading

The goal of this class is for students to master the technology standards set forth by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Daily assignments are worth 5 points (the majority of the work we have done so far), and larger assignments (such as the upcoming Heritage Project) will be worth 10 points. As mastery of each standard is the goal of this class, students are allowed to revise their assignments as many times as necessary for them to master the standard.

Assignments and instructions can be found in the students' Computer Class Google Classroom under the Classwork section. Each assignment has directions, and usually an instructional video. In addition, there is a rubric attached to the assignment so that students will know how they will be graded. When assignments are returned students will be able to see where they lost points as well as private comments that I made about the assignment.

Students are expected to make the corrections and resubmit their work. They can do so on their own or during a L.I.M.E. Day.

L.I.M.E. Day

Once a month, we will have a L.I.M.E. Day--Late, Incomplete, Missing and Enrichment Day. During a L.I.M.E. Day, students have the opportunity to revise any previous assignments or make-up any missing or incomplete work.

If students are all caught up and their work has been revised, they will work on enrichment activities such as bonus projects, Typing.com or Hour of Code.
