What is 5th Grade Computers?

This class will build upon computers skills previously learned in the lower grades.

Students will utilize Typing.com online software to develop their keyboarding skills. The focus will be for students to use the home row keys without looking and to obtain a speed of 25+ words per minute with 90% or greater accuracy.

Students will learn how to use Google Apps for Education which includes Docs (word processing), Sheets (spreadsheets) and Slides (presentations) to complete various projects for all of their classes.

What You Need For Each Class

Your agenda should be near you so that you can enter some important dates or information.
You should have note paper and a pen or pencil near your computer at home. There may be times I will ask you to jot down some notes.
You need to be on time for class. If you are late, all of the instructions are in the directions in Google Classroom, and there is usually a video in Google Classroom (Classwork) that explains the assignment. Please do not come in late to class and ask what we are doing!
